Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Ott Deyton.
Hi Sarah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
As a Christian woman that grew up in a Godly home with a pastor’s heart in my father, I had a deep understanding and love of Christ from a young age. As life has a way of deepening our need for God there came many crossroads where my head family information about God had to be transformed into a personal heart revelation of God as more than just my Savior and my Lord but effectually as my very Life Source. Through the tools of pain, loss, and suffering of different varieties Jesus deepened my identity in a similar way that storm winds and rains, plus dry arid temperatures, strengthen that of a tree’s root system sending it far beneath the soil for stability and sustenance.
Establish Her, with the logo being a tree, was officially founded over 12yrs ago as a non-profit discipleship ministry to women desiring growth in God through biblical study, communal events, and transformative retreats.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Life is never smooth yet the hard sharp turns can become the very direction, not detour, we were meant to travel. It’s in the shifting of life’s ever-changing course that Jesus is my constant, always leading me to a firmer foundation in Him and enabling me to simply point women in His direction at many crossroads in their lives too. The very things we would never choose become the very things we would never change because God promises to work out & use fully all things for our good, as He defines it, and His glory, as He deserves it.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Christian ministry doesn’t need to be basic or boring, but it can creative, beautiful, and unforgettable. I create beautiful environments whether it’s farm-to-table dinner settings or lavish private retreat weekends or women’s worship events where biblical content is central, elevating an “event” to an “encounter” because it not only leaves guests lavished with intentional beauty but marked by a taste of eternity. I also write biblical studies and books with devotional content and scriptural word studies that ignite the heart to know the Bible in passionate deep ways. My full length book entitled, Establish Her, addresses in detail the abundant life made possible through a rooted life in Christ and can be purchased on Amazon.
