Meet Sarai Blissett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarai Blissett.

Hi Sarai, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my entrepreneurship/content-creating journey without having any clue of where it would take me. Both paths were honestly started on a whim, I began creating content in my college apartment one month before graduating I always had a passion for creating and Instagram was the first place I thought could help bring my visions to life. I started LOCSBYRAI LLC at the beginning of the pandemic, I had never really done hair other than my own but decided to bet on myself. I’ve had constant adversity navigating through all of the ups and downs but have continued to keep the end goal in perspective. I was able to get to where I am today by preserving my father always told me growing up that “only my best is good enough” and I’ve done my best to do MY best.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all, mental health has been a huge factor in both of these journeys. Becoming a business owner/content creator is scary, as a hairstylist many times you are operating business not knowing if you’ll be fully booked or if you’ll only have one client for a week. It’s way more than the quality of work you provide but customer service, content creating, marketing and ads all play a significant role in running a successful business and as a content creator, you can be creating content for years, consistently posting your content before you start to really gain any traction. You put in countless hours of work not knowing when an ounce of success will knock at your door the trick is “DON’T QUIT”.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a business owner and content creator/influencer, I am known for creating quality fashion, lifestyle and beauty content that not only influences but impacts lives. I’m also a hairstylist of 2+ years now working on scaling my business all while helping other service providers create additional sources of income. I am most proud of not quitting as simple as that may sound, it’s crazy how many people quit on their dreams before they even begin to flourish. I just want to continue to not quit and that’s exactly what sets me apart.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Truly I don’t believe too much in luck I feel as though sometimes the stars do align for amazing things to happen but that’s more destiny than luck. I’ve had a good amount of faith and with that, I’ve continuously been blessed.
