Today we’d like to introduce you to Saucelord
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Saucelord is the stage name I go by. Started this music journey back in 2020. As surprising as it was to me, I’ve become rather good at this more than I imagined. I believe it was a calling from God. It’s a way I express myself and communicate my feelings. Raised in Atlanta Georgia, and born in Ghana West Africa, I’ve endured a lot of challenges which I believed got me to where I am now with this whole music journey. I mainly do Afrobeats, I’ve tried several genres and is good in that aspect as well but I’m an artist all round but I will say I mainly focus on Afrobeats.
I got to where I am today because of my hard work and passion for the craft. I believe if you’re really inlove with something you have to go the extent to show how much you really love it.
I can boldly and proudly say I am one of the best up-and coming artist in the Bronx.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This journey I’ve taken upon myself is not an easy one at all, be it that it takes a lot to make it all the way to the top.
As an artists, there will be times where you believe you have the one song that will go global, but you will be disappointed when it doesn’t go that way.
I’ve experienced that and the key to me coming this far is not giving up and being determined. I believe in myself and my craft so much I push myself everyday to write and improve on myself, having coaches to help me with what they feel I’m doing wrong and right.
Having friends who also believe in you, boosts your confidence to not give up. And also having friends to critique your work because they want the best for you is also an essential in this music space.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an artists before anything. And also social media content creator. I’m mainly know for both the content creation and my artistry but the content creation brought more attention to me and my craft.
I’m proud of how my family supports me in what I do and also puts me in my place when I’m getting off track .
And I’m also proud of the experiences I’ve had to endure which made me grind harder to get to where I am today.
What sets me apart from others is my zeal and love for this. I’ve encountered a lot of disheartening moments but I chose to not give up but keep on being the best.
I believe my style is simply different and I add my own sauce to what I do,which makes me en exception to others.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
One surprising this people might not know about me is ,I’m also a song writer. I’ve written for some artists. Also, Personally, whenever I start writing or vibing to a song, I need to finish it. There’s been times where I’ve stayed up all night putting a song together just because I had that feeling it might be the one lol.
One other surprising things is I speak 4 languages and have multiply accents based on where I’ve lived as a child.
