Scott, Abraham and David, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We are a group of entrepreneurs who scan the world for interesting business concepts to figure out how we can improve upon them and bring them to the U.S. When we first saw and tried axe throwing in Canada, we knew it was something we had to start here because people would love it.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
So far, it has been pretty smooth. Our biggest challenge is just explaining what axe throwing is and how to play the game so people understand how much fun it is!
Please tell us about Bury The Hatchet.
Bury The Hatchet is an indoor axe throwing facility. Axe throwing is a game, similar to darts in the way it’s played, except you throw axes at the target! In order to play, you will first learn how to properly handle and throw an axe from one of our trained professionals before beginning a tournament style game. The goal of the game is to score 21 points first and points are scored by hitting different areas on the target. We are proud to introduce axe throwing to the U.S. and to give people a new entertainment option!
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
We just opened, so we don’t have too many things we would want to change yet, but we know there will be many lessons learned in the next few months as there are with all new businesses!
