Today we’d like to introduce you to SE7EN.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia (Dekalb County to be exact), I have always been in some shape or form involved in music. Growing up and one of my earliest memories is banging on pots and pans on the floor of my kitchen. My Dad was a pastor at a church he owned so I would often times get the opportunity to play drums for the congregation. Throughout my teenage years, I would passively still practice instrumentation (when I wasn’t distracted by girls) but my production journey didn’t seriously start until I was in college.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not. Between both my media and music platforms (SE7EN and Channel 7 Podcast) there has been COUNTLESS trials and tribulations- all of which I’m grateful for. From as little to bad quality products to being scammed to people quitting in the middle of a project- you name it. But the failures are necessary for the wisdom and success to occur. I love failure.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
In short, I’m a mogul in the making. I’m a music producer, podcaster, engineer, and entrepreneur. The best snapshot way to describe my sound is if Pharrell, Timbaland, and Outkast had a music baby, it would be me.
What sets me apart from others is my confidence and boldness to be different.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I’m gearing up to release my first House album titled “Hous of Divine” on February 15! There will also be a short film attached to the album release titled “Text Me: A Love Story” which features a complete film score from “Hous of Divine”
