So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have always had a passion to create. I remember praying to God a few years ago to reveal what is my true purpose or talent. I have always created party invitations, baby shower centerpieces and party favors for family members. So one day, I thought why not make this into a business. I began brainstorming business names and came up with the name Creative Caleb. My son’s name is Caleb which means “faithful, devotion, wholehearted, bold, brave”. I started out doing invitations, centerpieces and party favors. Then, I had a customer that asked me if I could make her bachelorette glasses for her bachelorette party. I did not have a Cameo to create theses glasses so I started out using my aunt’s Cameo until I was able to purchase my very own Cameo to personalize gifts. Then, I was able to add personalized drink-ware to my creations. I have been a vendor in multiple pop up shops around Atlanta. My passion is to create handmade memorable gifts for any occasion and bring your ideas to life.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not always been a smooth road. In the beginning, I did not have my own Cameo machine which made it hard to complete orders in a timely manner. Sales were great in the beginning, then slowed down so my thoughts were to give up. I prayed about it and true enough sales started picking back up and I knew my business was here to stay. I have a wonderful support team and loyal customers.

We can make your idea come to life. I am most proud of being able to say I am a business owner and will try any idea you may have. What sets Creative Caleb apart from other businesses is being an effective communicator and each gift is honestly made from my heart. I put a lot of time and thought into each order and I think of ways to make each order perfect in its own way.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I remember being shy, reserve and sweet. I was the oldest so I remember always being in charge of tasks, the responsible one and taking charge. I loved all things girly and I loved Lisa Frank. Lisa Frank was known for her colorful creations and psychedelic designs. Every time my mother would take me to the store, I would buy Lisa Frank folders and her school items. I am very family-oriented so I loved being around all my grandmother, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. My family has made me humble, loving and understanding. This is why I love it when people ask for sentimental gifts for someone.
