Today we’d like to introduce you to Shadai Bright.
Hi Shadai, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always believed that your story doesn’t define you, but it can shape the kind of woman you rise into. My journey started in Savannah, GA, where I grew up as the oldest of seven. I learned early what leadership, responsibility, and resilience really look like. I didn’t have the luxury of figuring life out slowly things moved quickly where I’m from, and that shaped the strength I carry today. One of my first passions came from working alongside my mother as a hair model. That experience opened my eyes to beauty, artistry, and the confidence that comes from helping women feel like the best version of themselves.
In 2012, I moved from Savannah to Atlanta, which became the foundation of my new beginning. I graduated from Southwest DeKalb High School in 2016 and, still driven by my love for beauty, I enrolled in cosmetology school in 2018. I completed my program in 2020, which opened the door for me to take my creativity to the next level.
Shortly after, I started my own hair company and became a wig artist, hand-making wigs using a sewing machine. It was a skill that taught me patience, discipline, and entrepreneurship all at once. Even while working in the beauty industry, modeling always remained a part of my life. It was my outlet and still is, a space where I could express myself, build confidence, and discover my presence.
As I grew older, I realized that my gifts extended beyond beauty. I loved connecting with people, inspiring them, and helping them elevate their lives. That’s what led me to partner with PlanNet Marketing as a professional network marketer. It was my first real introduction to entrepreneurship, leadership, and personal development on a much deeper level.
Because of that journey, I eventually launched my own travel agency. Traveling has became another outlet for me and a way for me to empower women giving them access to new experiences, new perspectives, and a sense of freedom that many of us never had growing up. Today, I’m blending all the parts of my story beauty, travel, personal development, and leadership to build a brand that helps women feel confident, inspired, and connected.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not my journey has been anything but smooth, and honestly, that’s what shaped the woman I am today. I was forced to adapt to so many environments, grow up fast, and figure things out without a blueprint. I didn’t have the guidance or resources that many people rely on. I became the first to graduate high school in my immediate family, and I did it with no real help just determination and prayer. After high school, I stepped into adulthood quickly. While chasing my education and building my future, I worked two jobs, often day and night, just to keep myself afloat while attending school. There were moments when I was mentally exhausted, financially stretched, and emotionally overwhelmed, but quitting was never an option for me. I’ve had to navigate life by learning as I go and looking back, the struggles weren’t setbacks they were training. They prepared me for the woman, the leader, and the entrepreneur I’m becoming today.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Her Elevations is a women-centered empowerment organization dedicated to supporting, uplifting, and guiding women through every stage of their personal evolution. I created this community because I know what it feels like to navigate life without a roadmap no guidance, no blueprint, and no safe space to grow. Her Elevations was built to be that space. We focus on helping women elevate in three core areas: healing, confidence, and life transformation. Through my travel brand, I curate solo and group travel experiences that allow women to step outside their environment, reconnect with themselves, and experience a sense of freedom many of us never had growing up. I truly believe that travel is one of the most powerful pathways to self-growth while it shifts your perspective, expands your mindset, and reminds you who you are.
What makes this work unique is that everything I offer is rooted in real life. Not perfection. Not unrealistic standards. Just authenticity, lived experience, and genuine support. I use my own journey the setbacks, the healing, the rebuilding to pour into women who may be walking a similar path.
The thing I’m most proud of is witnessing women step into their confidence, reclaim their peace, and finally feel surrounded by true sisterhood. That transformation is the heart of Her Elevations.
What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is becoming the woman I needed when I was younger not just for myself, but for every woman connected to me. I know what it feels like to move through life without guidance, without stability, and without a safe place to grow. Because of that, I value healing, community, and purpose above everything else. Helping women elevate mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and financially matters to me because I’ve lived through the moments where I had to figure everything out alone. I want other women to know they don’t have to do the same. Creating spaces where women feel seen, supported, and empowered is the heart of everything I do.
