Meet Shambria Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shambria Davis.

Shambria, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My story of where I’m at now is rather brief yet honest. The journey to When Passion Speaks started in May 2020. Very recent, I know! However, dealing a lot with overthinking and anxiety, I knew I had to channel my energy into something that would help my mental/emotional state become more balanced. Therefore, after a conversation with one of my line sisters, s/o to Jessica D. Williams, God planted the idea for starting my new Instagram Live Series.

WPS was first initiated by me reaching out to one of my best friends, s/o to Whitney Kemp, and asking her would she be my first guest as I launched the pilot interview. More than willing, she gladly accepted. The first interview was conducted with quite a few viewers watching in support. During the live, my anxiety started kicking in as I became worried about people’s perception of this newly designed series; but rest assured, everything went well. From there, more guests started coming my way. Simply put, I am where I am today with WPS because of pray, faith, supportive people, and the passion I have for helping others pursue their purpose and sharing their stories with the world while creating a lasting legacy that will extend beyond my wildest dreams.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
If life was easy, we wouldn’t need God right? Lol! The road to creating WPS has been pretty smooth but not easy. From being gifted a logo for my brand to interviewees’ willingness to participate, it has been nothing short of a blessing from God. However, there have been a few struggles along the way. For instance, trying to get interviews scheduled, unforeseen cancellations, guest not arriving, or even the lack of response from people I reach out to. It has been quite a challenge, especially when you feel the support you give others is not met the same way at times. Nevertheless, the blessings I have received while working on WPS has outweighed the struggles and with four going on five months of WPS being in production, I know more is yet to come, both trials and triumphs. However, it is through my faith in God that the best will prevail every time.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
When Passion Speaks, “WPS” is an Instagram Live Series that came about during what most would consider a horrible time: The Pandemic. As previously mentioned, I was having a conversation with one of my line sisters about how frustrated I was with not knowing exactly what I was supposed to be doing in/with my life. Soon after, she asked me, if I could make up my dream day-to-day “work” schedule, what would it be? As thoughts raced in my head, it was without a doubt God placed When Passion Speaks on my mind. Although this was not my dream job, it allowed me to feel more purposeful as I continue to pursue the purpose God has for me.

In May 2020, while sitting on the couch in my favorite corner, When Passion Speaks was created. In that very moment, I consulted God and asked him exactly how he wanted the series to be; as I already made up in my mind that this new Instagram Live series was God’s platform and he is just using me as his host/vessel. Therefore, this weekly new series is catered to those who are passionately pursuing their purpose. Passionate guests are interviewed about their passion, purpose, business, personal endeavors, challenges, and successes in order to create an atmosphere of transparency in great hopes of inspiring others to continue pursuing excellence.

As of today, When Passion Speaks is constantly growing and stronger than ever. With 17 + episodes already done, we are striving to create/produce more virtual and interactive content/series for our current and future viewers/supporters to ensure WPS reaches the masses with Passion, Purpose, and Love!

WPS Specialization: Creating/Enhancing a social media presence for all Passionate Guests to #SpeakTheirPassion to the #Masses. In addition, we strive to support entrepreneurs through the purchase of merchandise to promote and help expand their brand.

I am known for being a very passionate person – hence, in college, my radio personality name was Lady Passionate Luv – who puts her heart, mind, spirit, and soul into everything with the faith of enhancing my life and the lives of others.

I am most proud of WPS because it provides an outlet for others to speak their passion to the masses, especially in a world that, at time, tries to shut us up. Moreover, when others are taking an active interest in wanting to be a part of the show, it is a humbling feeling and continues to let me know that we are on the right track of touching as many lives as possible. The entire series is ALL centered around God having his way. Everything we do, the people we pick, the topics we discuss, etc. are all prayed about first. To some, it may seem unorthodox. However, for us, It Works! Period!

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I do! My favorite childhood memory was when I went to Disney World for the first time with my mom, older brother, and younger cousin. We stayed in a Mickey Mouse themed hotel where EVERYTHING was Mickey and Minnie Mouse (i.e. soap, bed, towels, etc.). In addition, all four of use shared one huge turkey leg as we watched a Disney production on water. Although we didn’t have much growing up, that memory helped my older self realize more of my mother’s hard work/sacrifice in making sure we had a loving childhood filled with lasting memories I would be able to share, like I am now.

Undoubtably, this memory, along with countless others, has helped to shape me into the woman and go-getter I am today. I strive to always work hard in everything I do. A silver spoon was never given to me nor do I come from a family lineage of money. I work extremely hard for everything I do/have, even if that means working two to three jobs (which I have done before). Therefore, every opportunity, such as this one, afforded to me is a huge blessing and humbling experience.

Personal Mantra: What God has for me, will ALWAYS be for me!
