Hi Shanea, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Absolutely. My journey has been anything but linear, but every step has shaped who I am and how I serve today. I’m a Black woman who grew up understanding the value of hard work, resilience, and creativity. I didn’t start with a trust fund or a roadmap—just a vision, a willingness to learn, and a deep desire to create experiences that leave people feeling seen, celebrated, and cared for.
I started planning events casually—helping friends and family with weddings, parties, anything that needed structure and style. Around that same time, I found myself planning group trips too—girl getaways, birthdays, destination celebrations—and I realized I had a gift for creating not just beautiful events, but experiences that brought people together in meaningful ways.
Over time, that passion evolved into Luxe Weddings and Luxe World Travels, where I now help people celebrate love and life in ways that feel elevated, seamless, and joyful—whether it’s a luxury wedding weekend or a once-in-a-lifetime trip abroad.
But I didn’t stop there. As someone who deeply values wellness and community, I also pursued my certification as a group fitness instructor, eventually becoming a Coach at Orangetheory Fitness. Helping people push past mental and physical limits reminded me that transformation isn’t just about events—it’s about mindset, care, and consistency.
So, here I am—building a business that reflects my heart, working with incredible clients, and staying rooted in my purpose: to inspire, elevate, and serve with excellence and empathy.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not—it’s been a journey full of trial and error. Like many entrepreneurs, I had to learn a lot on the fly. I leaned on mentors, asked questions, made mistakes, and kept going. One of the biggest challenges was building a solid business foundation while simultaneously trying to figure out everything else—what platforms to use, how to automate systems, how to price my services fairly but profitably, all while staying on top of trends and remaining authentic.
There were moments I felt overwhelmed trying to do it all—be the creative, the admin, the marketer, the strategist. But every challenge sharpened me. Every misstep taught me something. And through it all, I’ve learned that success isn’t about perfection—it’s about persistence, alignment, and growth.

I’m the owner and lead visionary behind Luxe Weddings and Luxe World Travels, where I specialize in crafting seamless, elevated experiences for life’s biggest moments—whether that’s a destination wedding weekend or a curated group trip abroad. I blend thoughtful planning with intentional design, and I’m known for being that calm, grounded presence clients didn’t know they needed.
What sets me apart is that I really see people. I don’t just plan pretty events—I listen, I pay attention, and I make sure every detail reflects my clients’ personality and priorities. My work is rooted in service, clarity, and care. I take pride in creating safe, joyful, and affirming spaces for clients who may not always see themselves reflected in this industry.
I’m most proud of the community I’ve built—my clients trust me with some of their most important milestones, and that means everything to me. Whether I’m planning a wedding for 150 or helping someone travel on one of our bucket list group trips, I lead with excellence, empathy, and heart.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The most important quality that’s contributed to my success is resilience. Being able to keep going, even when things are unclear, overwhelming, or don’t go as planned, has been everything. I’ve had to pivot, problem-solve, and push through a lot of moments where quitting would’ve been easier—but I knew my purpose was bigger than the pressure.
Right behind that is being intentional. I don’t just move to move—I move with clarity and care. Whether I’m working with a couple planning their wedding or curating a luxury travel experience, I focus on doing things with heart, excellence, and authenticity. That combination of resilience and intention has helped me grow, stay grounded, and create a brand people trust.
