Today we’d like to introduce you to Shania Stowers

Hi Shania, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello, I am Shania Rai a 20 year old from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I am a very creative and ambitious person ! I love working out, sewing & creating new clothing pieces, being active/ adventurous, going to church .. I am a YouTuber, entrepreneur & influencer which I enjoy doing all of these things. I can go on and on ! I began my YouTube channel at 15 years young with limited knowledge but managed to get monetized within the first year! Also have been teaching myself how to sew since 15 ! 6 years later I still record YouTube videos, promote brands on instagram & YouTube, also I will be relaunching “Raistylez” starting with a new swimwear collection on June 20th which is also my birthday ! I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It wasn’t an easy journey for my brand, especially when dealing with wholesale clothing. It was a hit or miss situation, as many items had poor quality materials or incorrect sizing. I chose not to sell these pieces to avoid tarnishing my business’s reputation, such as selling small-sized clothing that fit like extra-large. Additionally, there were discrepancies in the material descriptions, like ordering cotton but receiving polyester instead. This process led to wasted time and money in search of reliable vendors. Starting on YouTube was also challenging, as it wasn’t as popular then as it is now. Some peers at school even made jokes about my aspirations to become a YouTuber.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Currently, I work as a resident care aide at an assisted living facility, but my passion lies beyond the healthcare field. I aim to grow my business and empower women to embrace their true selves and boost their confidence. Fashion is my forte – I enjoy experimenting with different styles and always feel fabulous in any outfit I wear. Many women seek my fashion advice, and while I’m still navigating this journey, I look forward to refining my skills as a stylist. I take great pride in the evolution of my personal style and how I tackle life challenges. My fashion sense has significantly developed over the years as I’ve embraced new styles while understanding what suits my body best. When it comes to life’s hurdles, we all face them, the key is to maintain a positive outlook, trusting that things will work out with faith. What distinguishes me is my indifference to others’ opinions and my resistance to peer pressure, I live life on my terms.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I believe the most important characteristic for success in anyone’s journey is discipline. Consistently working towards your goals every day is crucial. While motivation comes and goes, it’s what you do on days when you lack motivation that truly matters. Will you follow through on your commitments even when you don’t feel like it, or will you give in to the temptation to procrastinate?
