Meet Shanice Walker of Fearless Fitness by Shanice

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shanice Walker.

Hi Shanice, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Since I was a child, I was always in physical activities and super athletic. I’ve played basketball, ran track, cheered and played volleyball. It wasn’t until I became a collegiate track and field athlete when I saw and understood the importance of nutrition. The knowledge I gained from experience, on top of receiving my bachelor’s in health and fitness management, is what led me to become a Personal Trainer and eventually starting Fearless Fitness by Shanice, my personal training service.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Heck no, lol. This is going to sound cliche but honestly, my biggest obstacle was me. Getting over that mental hump…you know, the self-doubt talks or the “so many people are doing this” talks. Once I was able to clear out all the extra noise, I was able to get more focused and serious about my service. We can honestly accomplish so much once we master our minds.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Fearless Fitness by Shanice is more than a brand, it is a LIFESTYLE. It is an attitude we ought to carry and exemplify throughout this journey called life. Outside of bringing you killer workouts and dope apparel, Fearless Fitness by Shanice was created to empower and encourage people to go after everything they want in life with a fearless mindset…conquering every obstacle in their way. Always pray, believe in yourself, manifest what you want and put in the work to achieve it. We offer personal training services and group training services, both in-person or virtual and custom meal plans. Apparel & equipment coming soon!

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The top 3 most important things I’ve learned are: 1) Go at your own pace. There’s no time clock outside of the ones we place on ourselves. With prayer and hard work, you’ll be at your destination when it’s time. 2) Don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. Their struggles aren’t mine nor are their wins & vice versa. What’s for me won’t miss me. 3) Embrace the process. Everything goes through a process before it becomes complete. Plus, you learn just as much in the valley as you do at the mountain top.
