Today we’d like to introduce you to Shantel SolE’.
Hi Shantel, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I got my start in music during my senior year of college at North Carolina A&T. After college I moved to back home to VA where I gained experience as a performer and hosting events. I spent a few years growing my fan base before I moved to Japan. I spend over a year in Japan traveling and growing my fanbase, making my mark as an international artist. Up0n my return to the states I was able to take the business strategies I learned and apply them to my brand. In 2021, I decided to move to an area that was more marketable in the entertainment industry, I moved to Atlanta, GA. Since I have moved here I, started my business as a voice actor, providing voice services for businesses and brands around the world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Although the journey has been fun, it has not been a smooth road. One of the main struggles I had to overcome was finding the right group of people to work with and trust. The entertainment industry is cutthroat, especially when you are learning your way around the business. I had some bad deals and learned some important lessons. Instead of blaming others for their shortcomings, I decided to learn the game for myself, which got me to where I am now.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a singer/songwriter, voice talent and stylist. I am most known as an International artist, performing from the rooftops of Japan to the stages in Atlanta. I am also a superb entertainer and performer, commanding the crowds from the most elegant event to the most upbeat raves. Although I enjoy being an artist/entertainer, I pride myself on being an excellent songwriter. I have used these skills to build my business writing jingles professionally for business corporations and brands. I am most proud of this because I am able to wake up every day and do what I love. What sets me apart from others is that I’m multi-talented but also God’s favor is on me.
What matters most to you? Why?
Keeping my heart and my intentions pure is what matters to me most. Oftentimes in life, we are driven by success, money, acceptance, or approval. My intentions have always been to spread peace. Whether it’s through a song I make that makes you want to dance or a performance I have that inspires you to be yourself. Keeping my intentions pure is by far what matters most to me.
