Today we’d like to introduce you to ShaQuayla Alls-Terrell.
Hi ShaQuayla, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been a registered nurse for over 16 years and have a masters degree in nursing education. While at the bedside I’ve worked primarily in the ER and ICU. I’ve worked as an assistant manager, as a professor of nursing, as well as a legal nurse consultant. I’ve seen a lot of things being practiced and taught over the years that I didn’t agree with. When COVID hit in 2020, I’d had enough. I wanted to help people get better, not just go along with our “sick care model”, so I ventured out into business for myself. I started my own wellness practice to education people on diet, nutrition, lifestyle modification, etc to help them get healthier naturally. It was great for a couple of years, and then God ask me to do something different. He asked me to honor Him in my practice…to put Him back in His rightful place in our healthcare. So, in 2024, I stopped operating my wellness practice the “traditional way” and I started doing it God’s way, built on biblical principles and led by the Holy Spirit.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not! It has not been a smooth road because I’m a nurse, not a marketer, sales guru, tech guru, master negotiator or any of the other roles that you have to have an understanding of as a business owner. But aside from that, there were challenges in my faith, finances, in my family…because entrepreneurship pulls at you in so many different ways and you don’t know what you don’t know. You find that out as situations arise and you have to be resilient enough to bounce back and pivot when necessary. Although I have had many challenges on this journey, I count nothing as a loss, but all of them as a lesson because I am definitely stronger, wiser, and more resilient that I was before.
We’ve been impressed with Predestined Not Predisposed, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’ve taken my nursing expertise, faith, and biblical wisdom and combined them to support wives in business sustain their health while thriving in marriage and business. As a female entrepreneur, and one that happens to be married, I know the weight of trying to balance home life and business. It is really taxing on our health physically, mentally, and spiritually. Society has us thinking that it comes with the territory. But God, says otherwise. I used to help a variety of clients. Now I focus on female entrepreneurs, specifically those that are married. I am a nurse strategist and a biblical mindset coach. I help WIFEpreneurs serve their marriage and their clients without sacrificing their health, just as God predestined. I help them renew their mindset, restore their health, and realign their marriage + business with God’s design so they can serve from a place of peace not pressure. What sets me apart is my focus on the spiritual root of disease and the underlying issue for most health conditions, which I believe is stress and mental health. I have a specific method that I use with my clients to help them shift their mindset about their health that builds a foundation for lasting success as a wife and entrepreneur. I am most proud of honoring God and seeing the women that I’ve helped being healed by the Great Physician spiritually, mentally, and physically. I am proud to see them thriving personally and professionally. All of my services are virtual. I offer a mentorship and a wellness academy to educate, equip, and empower women to live the life God called them to live- healthy and whole. I also, offer a free virtual wellness summit about once a month. My services are all things faith, nutrition, rest, mental health, and hormone balancing.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My faith in God. God already promised it and Jesus died for it. It’s already written. It’s up to me to speak it and move in faith. And that’s what I do everyday.
