Today we’d like to introduce you to Shenique Luke.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was the queen of “Situationships” and long-term relationships with no real commitment. I was frustrated and exhausted! When was it going to be my turn??
So I decided to give it to God and depend on Him for what I was praying for. I was tired of doing things my way because guess what?? It wasn’t working! I found that when I TRULY let go and let God, everything began to shift in my favor. In 2017, I was led to write my first book, “Sleeping Sound & Single.” The book was based on my journey and struggles as a single woman desiring marriage.
Once I wrote the book, the feedback I received from the women who read the book was overwhelming. I realized that I was not the only one struggling and it was time to do something about it. I started my journey to become a full-time coach so that I could help women who shared my same struggles and desires.
When I was writing the book, God revealed to me some of the errors that we make as women when it comes to truly having the life we desire. My biggest goal is to help you understand your authority and the power you have to live the life you are praying for. I founded The Love Prep Academy in October of 2019 as an educational resource for women who have challenges in getting to their desired outcome in their relationships, which is ultimately marriage.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest struggle is to continuously believe in something bigger than myself but the truth is it’s not even about me. Some days I doubt myself and I’m terrified of the vision that God has given me but I have to remind myself that it’s not about what I see or how I feel. I have to fully depend on Him because I can’t do this without Him. It would be impossible. When we decided to open the studio, I had no clue how it was going to happen but I continued to trust God. I showed up every day and learned as we moved through the process. Permits, licenses, contracts…. Whew! I questioned myself every day but I continued to just take it step by step. Even if it was slow, or confusing or if I had tears in my eyes. I just kept moving forward.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Love Prep Academy is a boutique coaching and social studio. We provide coaching, premarital services and venue rental for women who are preparing for marriage. We are a one stop shop for all things love prep. Our goal is to support women who desire marriage, and embrace their single-season while helping them to prepare for a lifelong, Godly marriage.

At the Love Prep Academy, we understand that dating can be hard, especially in Atlanta but with the right coaching, a successful dating life can be possible. We want to not only empower women to understand their authority but that they can have the relationship they’ve been praying for. We specialize in helping women regain hope and confidence if they have not been successful in gaining the commitment they desire. We teach them how to get out of their own way by ridding themselves of bad habits, a negative thought life and wrong teachings. We want to help women who desire to be married position themselves for love while preparing them spiritually and mentally for a lifelong partnership.
