Meet Shon Gallegos of The Big Stitch Embroidery Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shon Gallegos.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Shon. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
After working for a very large Embroidery and Corporate Apparel Company for 20 years, I decide it was time to go out on my own. My partner and I started a little place in our home and within years’ time we had outgrown our homely digs. We found a small modest place on the best street in town (Cheshire Bridge) and have been stitching ever since. It’s been great. I’ve been blessed to have many great clients. Atlanta has been good to use and we plan to keep growing here. I have a strong back ground in the garment industry and my partner who has spent the last 20 years in the hospitality industry does our marketing and works with me on sales. We get what our clients are looking for and we strive to deliver a strong polished product in every order. We love what we do and enjoy seeing our clients smile. We work mainly with small businesses. Many of our clients are startups like us. We try to learn and understand what our clients brand is about and work to diligently to ensure that the integrity of our customer’s brand is always upheld. We treat every customer the same way that we would want to be treated. A smile always lets us know that our folks are happy and that always brightens our day.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Is it ever a smooth road opening a new business? We are faced with the same struggles that all small businesses are challenged with. Garnering new clients is always a challenge. We depend mainly on social media and word of mouth. We have built The Big Stitch from ground up. We started without a huge amount of capital and have succeeded. We are seeing about 90% of our clients return. That thrills us. Reliability and honesty plays a tremendous role in this success. Another challenge is staying competitive with other local embroidery businesses. We can never compete with prices with overseas markets. We have no desire to do cheap work. We only do quality work. What we can compete and win in is delivering personalize service and the highest quality of goods in our field. We work hard to keep prices affordable and maintain the Highest of standards for our customer.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Big Stitch Embroidery Atlanta – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
The Big Stitch is a full-service embroidery and screen printing shop. We specialize in embroidery and monogramming. We work mainly with small business to fulfill their needs for uniform branding. We are proud to be servicing our Atlanta small private business community. We hope that we can continue to do great work in Atlanta area for many years to come.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are excited to be where we are now and plan to grow alone with our customers. That’s why we call ourselves “The Big Stitch Embroidery”. In the future we would love to launch our own garment line.
