Today we’d like to introduce you to Shun Black.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Not to sound cliche’ but fashion has always been my passion. No matter what industry I have drifted into, I have always been pulled back into the Fashion pool. I remember being the head stylist for my college’s modeling organization and creating looks for show after show and feeling the RUSH! That was when we thrifted everything… literally everything down to the socks! This made me aware of my capabilities and kept me emotionally tied regardless of what other avenues I took. Styling was fun but it did not fully satisfy my itch. I wanted to be in control of the looks that I provide for my consumers. This is when the idea of creating my own Fashion Boutique surfaced. BINGO!

Has it been a smooth road?
Smooth? HA! Its been fun but not necessarily smooth. Everyone looks at owning a business like being on Rodeo, drinking a latte and shopping with the girls at 12 noon, EVERYDAY! Being a fairly new business, I’ve worked extremely diligent on building an organic, repeat customer base. Believe it or not, this can be a struggle at first! You have to get the exposure you need outside of your hometown AND build the trust you need to keep your brand on the front of their mind. It’s all a part of the process and I’m thankful to be able to enjoy every step!

Bag Language is a Fashion Boutique that houses Women’s apparel and accessories. We are a Chic, Feminine and Flirty brand that caters to the modern stylish woman. We specialize in looks for brunch, girls night, date night and her most unforgettable moments. I’m most proud that my company/brand has a tailored audience that we speak to and they hear us well! We know our girl and we don’t deviate from her. We know what she likes to do on the weekends, what crowds she prefers to be around, and her do’s and dont’s. This is what keeps our brand consistent which keeps our customers loyal.
