Today we’d like to introduce you to Shundra Kelton.
Shundra, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve been doing photography for eight years. At a young age, I’ve always had a passion for photography. My first camera was a M& M’s film camera. From there I had a point and shoot camera and in high school, I got my first DSLR camera. While in high school I joined yearbook and continued until I graduated. Before developing my own business, I worked for JCPenny and Lifetouch. My business has brought so much joy to my life as well as others. I couldn’t be more happier from where I started to where I am now. I am a natural light photographer that specializes in portraiture and lifestyle photography. I love to work with all ages of people and everything that I do isn’t posed but captured at the right moment. I’m just simply capturing moments that wouldn’t be there the next day but will be seen for the next decade. I truly love photography and everything that comes with it… Every minute I spend behind my camera and every hour that I don’t sleep is worth every portrait I put my heart into.

Has it been a smooth road?
Every business has its road that we must take. It hasn’t always been easy but definitely worth the challenges. Work comes and goes and I think that’s the hardest obstacle is keeping consistently.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Photography By Shana – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I specialize in portraiture and lifestyle photography. I’m known for my style and the way my images colors pop. I’m most proud of is where I’ve started from. I know that with time I’ll be where I need to be which is traveling doing photography. I think what sets me apart from others is my personality and my ambitions.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like most about my city is the support that I’m giving. The things that I see that no one else finds beauty in. What I like least about my city is how some people don’t give me a chance base off of prices.
