Today we’d like to introduce you to Sieeda Bryant.
Sieeda, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have been singing for as long as I could speak! My mom always says around the time I was born Keith Sweat was her favorite artist at the time and how she would listen to his music religiously. Until one day I was in the back seat singing “Who Can Love You Like Me? Nobody.” My mom quickly turned around to say you better learn those ABCs like you know Keith Sweat. Haha Now today I am a published Singer/Songwriter. As I grew older I joined a community choir where we traveled and performed all genres of music from classical to gospel spirituals. This choir was called The Magic City Boys & Girls Choir. This Choir made up a major part of my childhood for rehearsals on the weekends to five city tours during my school breaks. This kept me involved in something positive and kept me busy as a child in addition to giving me experiences in different parts of the world! In high school, I was accepted into Shades Valley Theatre Academy where I studied acting, music, and dance.
My dream was to move back to Atlanta to go to college and pursue my career as an entertainer! Safe to say that is exactly what I’m doing 🙂 Atlanta has been filled with nothing more than opportunities for me the first year I moved here I was staged in a musical called “Scandolous Hair” I’ve also had many extra roles in movies and music videos. I signed my first label deal in 2017 and I am grateful I went through this experience, but today I am currently an independent artist. This year, in particular, I’ve been focusing on my singing/songwriting which led me to find the program for Artist Development! ATLA Artist Academy was completely amazing they helped me with everything from recreating my image up to shooting my first video! I am so grateful for this program and I will be recommended for any upcoming artists! After completing a portion of this academy I began to put myself out there attending more auditions. I was chosen for K.Michelle BGS and I was honored to have made the Top 10, which allowed me to meet her personally and audition! This experience was amazing and it was exactly what I needed because sometimes it gets hard to keep yourself motivated, but you have to continue to put yourself out there and work hard!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No this has not been a smooth road for me. I was in the music industry at a young age singing and songwriting. There’s so much you have to learn for yourself. I signed my first label deal in 2017. It was hard at first transitioning to an independent artist but I put myself into a program this March 2018 called ATLA Artist Academy, which turned out to be AMAZING! Best decision I could have ever made for my artist development journey! I went through a lot of ups and downs which made me decide to become an independent artist for now. I don’t have any regrets everything I have been through has put me exactly where I am today and I am thankful for that!
Please tell us about your music.
I am most proud of myself as an artist for not giving up on myself. I am a published singer and songwriter. That’s one thing that is hard to overcome with any job, but in particular for artists, because my job is to express myself in a way that relatable for my fans. Music is my outlet and I want to use my gift to help others you can’t express themselves be able to speak, feel, conquer whatever type of comfort music gives to you.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
My definition of success is being healthy and taking care of my family/loved ones. Also, I would like to give back to the creative world my goal is to open a private music school for kids in the future.
