Today, we’d like to introduce you to Slim Dior. Slim was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Storm Landrum.
Slim , thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?
My story – blessings, who am I? Let’s start there. I’m Dominique aka the Goddess Queen from the Motor City Detroit MI. I was born & raised in the dirty d lol til 12th grade. Me, my dad, my mom, & my two younger sisters all moved to Atlanta GA – where my mother is originally from. I did so much in Atlanta GA, I lived in so many different cities in ga. I graduated class of 2005. I went to cosmetology school in Conyers GA. I explored. I went to college online. I modeled. I work closely with a few celebrities. I branded who I was at the time, slimdior! I also had a lot of tragedies happen to me in ga. I lost one of the best parts of me – my father. That took a lot out of me. I was a new person & I really didn’t care about life!! At all. I stayed in ga for my mother & my sisters after that. It took me years to gather my thoughts & my life in order after that, mind you I was 19 when my father passed. I lost my first child in ga at age 21, five months pregnant. That was a different kind of hurt for me and my baby’s father – who also had his own battles with dialysis that we were facing for years. I found the light again after those dark places in 2012 when I had our son aj nelson. Life felt hopeful again. I was a mom doing my mother thing & being a queen in my foundation. In 2014 I tapped back into my skills, talents, & my passions.
In 2015, I got my clients booked & my hair business started – Diorstylezz LLC. I build my brand. In 2016 I started a different journey because I no longer wanted to work for anybody – jobs don’t always understand life happens sometimes & I’ve just always knew I was going to be self-made & working for myself. But. My new journey was dancing (exotic dancing) at rumors in forest park ga, & I must say myself, I was great at it & I loved it. Only for what it was because I did it with my dignity & my pride every time because I didn’t have to do it; I chose to do it. 2019 I delivered my daughter at 29 weeks (same birthday as her big brother) & she was 1lb14oz with a NICU stay of three long stressful months. I knew nothing about premature birth. So that experience put me in yet another dark place. I had to be a mother to my seven years old at home & be a NICU mother to my premature baby that was fighting for her life.
But we fought through it & she was discharged at 31/3 months at 4lbs. We were so happy she was finally home. Three weeks after my daughter was discharged my baby father lost his battle & passed in 2019. I was all over the place, but with the most high leading me & guiding me I slowly started healing. The most high heard my cries. He seen my tears. He felt my pain because nobody else did. I wrote. I prayed. I humbled myself. I took care of my babies. I prayed some more. I wrote some more. Suddenly, I started seeing everything I had been asking the most high for. God gave me a million-dollar invention idea “which has its LLC & it is patent.” Peace Undies LLC will be released 2023. I also prayed for the most high to move me & my kids somewhere different. In September 2021 me & my two kids moved to Iowa. I have been here in Iowa now for 16 months & I love it. My son goes to a great school & plays traveling AAU basketball for nova elite. State champion qualified!
My daughter is three in pre-k & does gymnastics & dance. Mommy works for disability from home & I run my hair business Diorstylezz LLC which also has its LLC now here in Iowa. Diorstylezz LLC offers hair services, nail services, & lash services in Dubuque IA. I thank the most high for all he has done for me & my children & our foundation. We are truly blessed & grateful.

DiorStylezz LLC Is My Beauty Brand. I Offer Nails,Lash, & Nail Services. I Am A Licensed Master Cosmetologist. I’ve Doing Hair For Years & I’ve Always had Great Clients However Now I’m In A New State With A Different Wave So I’m Putting More Passion Into My Hands, With Lashing – It Came Natural For Me But I’ve Been Doing Lashes Since 2017. I Was Taught About Nails In Cosmetology School However Never Really Had The Patience, With My Skills & Gifted Handed Ive Grown To Love Nailing & Have Became Good At It. When it Comes To Peace Undies LLC My Million Dollar Invention I Put So Much Time & Passion Into This Product BECAUSE I KNOW ITS GOLDEN. Dropping 2023- The Prefect Fitting Training Undies For Children.

Me And Storm AKA LAMAR Better Known As My Big Lil Brother Is Most Definitely A GIFT In Human Form. He May Have To Overcome Some Trails – As We All Have But He Is So Strong. He Is A Great Mentor For Young Children. Storm & I Started Our PodKast “RoyalVibez” The End Of 2022! Nothing Was Planned – We Just Went With It. We Are Now On Szn 2!! We Have Grown So Much Together In A Little Time, However I See The Growth.
