Meet Smyrna Marketing and Brand Builder: Dayana Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dayana Brown.

Dayana, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started Marketing and branding in 2012 with a group of bloggers “The blogger’s block” in Miami promoting local and international brands. Growing up I was always fascinated by packaging and events, My favorite class/subject attending a French school was art, I was free and creative it puts me at ease. Coming from one of the poorest countries Haiti you had no choice but to dream big.

If I could remember around 10 was when I found my passion.

Has it been a smooth road?
I wasn’t smooth from the beginning, I had few challenges and struggles building the business but I always told myself and still do so, it takes time, believe in myself, brand and passion. My vision board helped a lot of passion.

Tell us about your childhood, what were you like growing up?
Growing up I was always a fun free spirited person, Organizing groups to talk about varies subject among teenagers was one of my projects, at the age of 14 I contacted radio and TV stations for segments.!!! Yes, my friends thought I was crazy but I saw the vision. I was always the center of attention in school. lol

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Taking off my father’s socks when he comes home from work, weird but it makes me who I’m today, he gave me strength.

So, what should we be on the lookout for, what’s next in store for you?
I’ve always been ambitious, My plan is to reach and do bigger things spiritually and financially. I’m looking forward to growing my brand and hear my son say, mom, lol (he’s only 8 months).
