Today we’d like to introduce you to Sonyetta Lynn Valentine.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Sonyetta. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a Atlanta Native (GRADY BABY to be exact LOL). I’m the oldest of five siblings so I learned a lot about leadership and responsibility early in life. I always dreamed of being an attorney (and still do) but I always knew I would be an entrepreneur. After experiencing a challenging period in my own life that required me to start over multiple times – financially, emotionally, and spiritually, I became inspired to turn my own triumphs into an organization by foundering my Non-Profit (Simplistic Restored Living) in 2015. I decided to pass along my experience and key resources to those in need, hoping to encourage my clients to also pay it forward.
Continuing my growth and legacy in early 2020, I started my Fragrance company/Brand (SLV Fragrance) and will also be returning to school to complete my legal studies in the fall of 2020.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
NO, IT HASN’T!!! LOL. Starting off financially, I didn’t realize what it would take to start my Non-Profit and it was hard getting sponsors. Nevertheless, I’m thankful for that experience because I learned a lot about business so I won’t make the same mistakes with SLV Fragrance.
Please tell us about Simplistic Restored Living and SLV Fragrance.
Simplistic Restored Living is a Non-Profit Organization 501(3)C that provides community resources to families in need to help them restore their quality of living.
Our Services and programs Include:
-Rent Referrals + Utility Assistance (When Available).
-Feeding the Homeless
-Furniture Bank Referrals
-Important Documents Assistance
-Women’s Support Group
-Youth Mentoring
-Mental Health Resources
SLV Fragrance is my fragrance brand that will that will be launching in August 2020 for men and women.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
YES!!! I’m looking forward to my Non-Profit helping more families and doing more for the community, continuing my legal studies to reach my goal of becoming an attorney, watching both my companies (Simplistic Restored Living and SLV Fragrance) grow and as a newlywed, I’m looking forward to a long-lasting marriage to my husband.
