Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacey Elgin.
Hi Stacey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I believe that hard work and a little luck is very important to be successful. I was a tv News Anchor and reporter for 25 years. I worked hard. I moved around the southeast working for local TV Stations. I was a morning anchor in Raleigh and Greensboro, North CArolina. I started my TV career in Savannah, GA. I loved working in news and it was my passion for many years. You have to be “all in” in that business and I was. I have always loved Atlanta and wanted to end up here. I finally got my wish and started work for Fox 5 Atlanta. I covered some great stories. I ended up becoming the morning “Road Warrior” for Good DAy Atlanta. I was live on air every morning talking to people and businesses owners or helping promote events in the area. I also travelled regulary to cover movie junkets and interviewed numerous A-list celebrities. But then, life changed when I finally got pregnant with my twin boys (who are now 14) and my station told me they weren’t renewing my contract. I had to pivot.. and I did! I got my real estate license and I didn’t look back. My grandfather was a Realtor and I’ve always had an interest in the real estate market. I also love decor and architecture… real estate is a perfect match. I love this business — it’s strategy, design, and connection all in one.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
as mentioned previously, I was suddently preganant with twins on the way. I went through some difficulty with them being born as I was on bedrest and they were premies. 3lb 12 and 4/2 oz. But.. once they got strong and we got a system at home in place… I got my real Estate license! Real estate isn’t easy. It’s about connections, long term relationships, trust and of course knowledge. But… I’m now in a great place and have been a Top Producer for many years !

I love helping people! I helped others in my last career… and that’s what I have the privilege of doing in Real Estate as well. It’s a great comination!
