Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacy Florestal.
Hi Stacy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey started long before Momentum Christian University ever existed. I was a young Haitian American girl who grew up shy, observant, and deeply rooted in faith never imagining that I’d one day become the first Haitian American woman to own and launch an online Christian university. But God had a unique way of shaping my path.
Professionally, I began in business development, administration, and entrepreneurship. Over the years, I built multiple companies including Florestal & Associates, LLC, Real Life Entrepreneur, and several community-centered initiatives helping business owners turn ideas into structure, strategy, and sustainable operations. I was always the person people came to for clarity, planning, and direction.
Yet even with all my success, there came a moment one I talk about often when I felt stuck. I was sitting on my couch listening to a powerful message, asking God, “What’s next?” I help everyone else build, but in that moment, I felt like I wasn’t building anything for myself. I wasn’t creating. I wasn’t moving. I was in a standstill.
And then God downloaded it into my spirit: Momentum.
Not twenty years of planning. Not ten years of preparation. Just a moment of a divine nudge to move, execute, build, and trust the process while in motion.
Momentum Christian University was birthed from that moment.
I took my background in administration, business strategy, leadership, faith, and education and I built something that represents legacy, access, and transformation. MCU is a university created to prepare leaders, ministers, entrepreneurs, and world-changers not just academically, but spiritually and purposefully.
Today, as the Chancellor and Founder of MCU, I lead with that same conviction: momentum. We are building history, establishing legacy, and impacting communities across the nation. Every degree, every honorary doctorate, every partnership, every student story reminds me that obedience produces overflow.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh no, the road wasn’t smooth at all. In fact, my journey was built in the middle of some of the hardest seasons of my life. I always tell people, I built while I was broken. And that isn’t a metaphor; that was my reality.
Last summer, my confidence was completely gone. I shattered internally. I felt stripped of everything that once made me feel powerful, creative, and purposeful. Then last fall, my entire life shifted again. I entered one of the darkest seasons of my adult life. I was mentally drained, uninspired, and deeply disconnected from my purpose.
I couldn’t think creatively. I couldn’t serve my clients the way I was used to. And while I was fighting my own internal battles of depression, confusion, overthinking, and the heavy spiritual atmosphere around me. I watched thousands of dollars slip away. It felt like everything I worked for was unraveling right in front of me.
People saw the strength, the leadership, the accomplishments… but they didn’t see the tears, the silent battles, the moments when I questioned everything.
But here’s the part that matters: I didn’t stop.
Even in that dark place, something inside of me kept going. I kept building. I kept praying. I kept showing up, even if some days I could only give 10%.
And that’s exactly how Momentum Christian University was birthed not from perfection, but from purpose. Not from clarity, but from obedience. Not from strength, but from survival and faith.
The struggles didn’t disqualify me; they positioned me. They made me more compassionate, more intentional, and more connected to the people I serve. Because now, I don’t just teach transformation, I lived through one.
We’ve been impressed with Momentum Christian University, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Momentum Christian University (MCU) is an online Christian university and business school dedicated to developing faith-filled, purpose-driven leaders. We offer over 35 degree programs, certifications, and specialized training designed to help students grow spiritually, academically, and professionally.
MCU was founded on the belief that faith and purpose belong together. What sets us apart is our unique blend of biblical principles and real-world leadership and business education. We prepare believers to lead confidently not just in ministry, but in the marketplace, the boardroom, their communities, and every space God assigns them.
Brand-wise, I am most proud that MCU represents access, legacy, and empowerment. We provide a transformational learning experience for people who desire growth, clarity, and impact.
What I want readers to know is simple:
MCU is more than a school, it’s a movement.
A place where Christian leaders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries are trained, equipped, and released to change the world.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Yes, what I want readers to know is that although Momentum Christian University is Bible-based, we believe everyone deserves a second chance at education. Our mission is to make learning accessible, achievable, and meaningful for people from all walks of life.
MCU is affordable, fully online, self-paced, and 100% flexible, allowing students to pursue their degree without disrupting their personal or professional lives. And we’re not limited to the United States. Momentum Christian University is nationally and internationally accredited, which means students can study from anywhere in the world and still earn a recognized degree.
I’m also excited to share that MCU will soon be accepting high school dual enrollment students. This program allows qualified high schoolers to take college-level courses and earn credits toward both their high school diploma and a future college degree. It’s a powerful opportunity for young leaders to get ahead, save time, and build confidence early in their academic journey.
Whether you’re restarting your education, advancing your career, stepping into ministry, or preparing for your future, MCU is here to support your momentum. Everyone has a purpose, and our goal is to help you walk in it with confidence, clarity, and faith.
