

Today we’d like to introduce you to Star Robinson.
Star, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m originally from Benton Harbor, Michigan, and moved to Atlanta after I graduated from Eastern Michigan University. I have a background in Aviation Sales and Management, which has helped me tremendously in my real estate business. My dad was a contractor so real estate development has always been a part of my life as I used to visit sites, and look over blueprints with him. I used to think homeownership was hard because I thought you had to have tons of money until I researched the qualifications to buy a home. Once I realized it is one of the biggest decisions someone will make in life, but fairly simple to achieve; I thought about all of the people like me that, “just didn’t know”. I never thought of becoming a Realtor; however, once I researched the career and realized how I could be of service to so many people, I knew it was a step I had to take. Of course, the flexibility and thoughts of being lucrative was attractive, but the concept of helping people gain home ownership was more appealing.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been an easy road, but it’s been rewarding. The real estate industry is heavily influenced by word of mouth. When I first started in the industry I had very little family and friends in the area so my sphere of influence was small. I really had to push myself to get out of my comfort zone and meet new people. By doing this, I’ve been able to network more which builds my business, and also develop ongoing relationships for my personal life.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
S.A. Robinson Real Estate specializes in selling, buying and leasing homes. We are a service-based real estate business that focuses on providing quality service. We’ve adopted the one-stop-shop source, which enables us to provide our clients with all of the resources needed to purchase, sell, or lease a home. What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I believe success is measured by personal fulfillment, and as life goes on, there will be different levels of success. I have reached many levels of success, but the success I achieved not as a business owner is completely different than the success I’m looking to achieve as a business owner. As of right now, the four factors of success for me are faith, family, health, and finance.
