Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Cintron.
Stephanie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My journey with photograph started really early on. From what I can remember, I always had a camera of some sorts in my hand. Whether it was my neon pink and green barbie polaroid, or a disposable camera, or my first point and shoot, I always LOVED taking photos and capturing memories. My professional career really started my freshman year of college when a friend of mine had seen some of my photos and asked me if I could take her graduation photos. It was then when I realized I could make a career out of what I loved to do.
Has it been a smooth road?
As with any creative career, there are lots of glamorous days and lots of not so glamorous days. One of my biggest struggles was simply believing that I was capable of doing photography and website design as a full-time gig. Let alone on my own. Lots of imposter syndrome and comparison set in towards the beginning of me taking on this career full time, but over time, it does get easier and I constantly remind myself that no one has my special sauce.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
One part photographer. One part website designer! When I’m behind the camera, you can find me working with life-loving couples, seniors and grads, and small businesses. If I’m not shooting, I’m probably sucked into my computer screen, designing a website for another creative biz owner!
If I had to choose one thing that I am most proud of in my business, it would be that I feel as though I create a welcoming space for any and everyone. I am beyond blessed to have a diverse client base that teaches me more than I could ever teach myself. I aim to create an experience with all of my clients so that they feel like they are just hanging out with one of their closest friends rather than getting photos taken by some stuffy ole pro. I take the time to get to know my clients long before we even get together for a shoot and I am sure to keep up with them after we get done working together. I take the same approach with my website clients. For me, it’s all about creating genuine relationships.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Atlanta has so many amazing locations for photos! You can truly capture every kind of vibe in ATL and I love when I have the chance to shoot there. If I had to say anything that I didn’t like, it would be the traffic. But I mean, who does?
