Meet Stephanie Greene

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Greene.

Hi Stephanie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got my start in television. I had a local talk show in Charleston SC for four years. I wanted to do more than just interviews so I started writing. I produced a web series called Pathways, and from there I moved into Producing and Directing films.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road definitely has not been easy. I’ve encountered many challenges. Everything from not having enough money to complete projects, actors, not showing up on film dates, I even had a cameraman who was using stolen equipment to film my series. However, through prayer and patience. I’ve learned a valuable lessons from every obstacle that is made me a better producer and Director.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
In addition to being an independent filmmaker, I’m also an educator. I teach career technology education. I love inspiring our youth to dream big. I think what sets me apart from others is that I’m not afraid to take a risk nothing ventured truly, is nothing gained… I love to create I love to tell stories, I love to take pictures, I love to edit film, and I love to produce and direct. So as far as specializing goes, it’s hard to say I love it all.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I’m definitely a person of faith and I believe what you put out in the world comes back to you. So I’m intentional about the way I treat others and the good I put out in the world.
