Meet Stephanie Purcell of Redesigned Classics in Smyrna

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Purcell.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Stephanie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’m a freelance producer by day working in film, TV and live events, and I started doing interior design as a fun artistic side venture while pairing with my husband’s real estate investment business. It gave me the perfect opportunity to practice my design skills and experiment with style. I eventually graduated from the New York Institute of Art and Design and started my company Redesigned Classics!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting any new venture is going to require some growing pains, but for the most part, this has been a fairly smooth process. The hardest part has been moving cross country in the middle of a pandemic. We recently relocated to the Atlanta area and are just starting to get our footing here.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I specialize in online decor services. This means the whole process can be done remotely with the help of some client pictures and measurements – this is especially convenient during Covid-19. My designs are often vintage, eclectic, travel-inspired and color inclusive. I love playing with textures, luscious palettes and mixing old with new. I strive to make original designs available for every budget and believe that your space should reflect your personal style and bring you joy.

I also specialize in Production Design for film and TV, combining one passion (TV/Film) with another (Design). It is a joy to create quality one-of-a-kind solutions for the vision at hand! My company has been a featured contributor for Apartment Therapy, Realtor.com, Vevano Home, The Penny Hoarder and more!

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I love that I get to do something creative while working with my husband. We have a couple of Airbnbs and getting positive feedback from travelers on the designs and layouts is always a good feeling. It’s always nice when a client loves their new space!
