Today we’d like to introduce you to Steve Beecham.
For 25 years, Steve and Home Town Mortgage have been one the premier Mortgage Brokers in North Atlanta. Steve is Past President of the Georgia Association of Mortgage Brokers and has been rated over the years as one of the top producing loan officers and mortgage Brokers in the State of Georgia.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The mortgage business closely follows the housing market. So when people are buying houses, business is good. When the housing market slows, then mortgage professionals hope interest rates drop so that people will refinance their loans.
Please tell us about Home Town Mortgage.
Our primary focus now is young, first time home buyers. There is a need to sit down with them and explain the process. That way they have mortgage knowledge they can take with them thru the rest of their lives. We explain everything about the process and are mindful to the needs and the first time buyer.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
When I was a teenager I wanted to race motocross. I finally talked my dad into letting me race. I did really well for about 2 laps and then I got so tired I could hardly hold on to the handle bars. Made me respect the endurance MX riders have.
