Greta Russo has an extensive background in event planning and marketing, working with major corporations, celebrities, and professional athletes. A lifelong animal lover, the day she decided to volunteer at an animal shelter was a game changer. She realigned her business and founded Support Ur Pet (SUP), an agency dedicated to corporations and non-profits in the pet industry.
Support Ur Pet worked on behalf of the PennsylvaniaSPCA (Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), staging Philadelphia’s first dog fashion show – Pets in the City. The event, featuring celebrity and canine models, raised awareness and enough funds to purchase ten bulletproof vests for the PennsylvaniaSPCA’s Humane Law Enforcement officers.
When the Support Ur Pet portfolio of successes drew the attention of corporations inside and outside of the pet industry, it was time to bring the business full circle with the creation of SUP Creative Group. SUP Creative Group’s heart is still with animal causes, now bringing the ongoing practice of exceeding client expectations to corporations and non-profits alike.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
If anyone tells you their rise has been smooth, then they are not applying themselves the way they should. Building anything from scratch will have its setbacks. Those set back opportunities are just that, an opportunity to learn, grow and do better.
Some of the “bumps in the road for me” included learning how to find the right talent to fit certain needs, learning to automate or include more technology to streamline my processes and learning to see “signs” of the future as much as being in the present to help guide me toward a smoother path.
Please tell us about SUP Creative Group.
SUP Creative Group is, at its core, an Event Production Company that can do Marketing and PR for its Corporate Clients. We service all industries but our heart belongs to the pet industry and we try to assist there as much as possible.
The bulk of our Clients are Corporate Clients that ask us to create a Charity Events, Golf Outing or Retreat and even Holiday Parties.
We have done and will continue to do Social Events, such as Weddings, Birthday Parties, Anniversaries and Graduations.
After working in the hospitality industry for over 12 years, we have an extensive network of Event Specialists that spans the world and we are always looking to add more companies to the list. We develop a plan with our Client, organize all of the Specialists that are a part of the event and execute a flawless production so that our Client only has to think about is being the perfect Host or Hostess (and what outfit to wear!).
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have learned “Business 101” upfront and I would of asked the “right” questions. I have learned that asking the wrong questions or not being thorough in asking questions can lead to a lot of extra work that was not necessary. The more I learned general business practices, as well as event planning practices, the more efficiently I could run my business.
