Today we’d like to introduce you to Tailiah Breon.

Upon graduating High School in 2013, Tailiah worked a 9 to 5, while building her Fashion Prodigy Brand. She received acceptance letters from multiple Colleges, a few being Spelman College, University of Charlotte, SCAD and Art Institute. She made a bold decision to cultivate her passion for art through a different path and seek her education through non-traditional methods. She established her Fashion Prodigy brand for photography, model development and directing in 2015.

PHOTOGRAPHY – In 2016, Tailiah made her move to Atlanta, GA where she started as an intern under the Derek Blanks Production. She revamped her business and applied the “schooling” taught during her internship to her brand. In just two years time, she has mastered the retouch technique under the direction of her mentor, Derek Blanks. Her work competed with others in her field, who have attended higher learning, such as, SCAD graduates. Tailiah entered into beauty and fashion Photography by developing a portfolio with works published by LEWIS Magazine, Nairobi Hair and Sheen Magazine.

Film – By 2017, she has worked several productions under Derek Blanks Productions for music videos and commercials as a camera operator.

Promotional Video Work credits – Chrisette Michele “Rich Hipster University”; Fantasia’s video Album Promotions for “Christmas After Midnight”; Sanaa Lathan behind the scenes; Regina Hall; Keri Hilson; New Edition; Necole Kane; OT Genasis promo video; Kelly Price; Courtney Adeleye

In 2018, Tailiah is stepping into the film world full fledge with a debut feature film. Expanding her territory as a writer, you can expect an original story dedicated to WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT. Expected to release in 2019. The film is entitled “FEMININE”, a movie for tomboys.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road has been smooth by choice but not by predicament! Meaning I had several circumstances to stop and deter me but I decided to take these struggles as an opportunity for personal development. I realized that the struggles don’t stop if my mindset towards them don’t.

Making the decision to become a young entrepreneur without college was a big risk in itself. I tackled judgments, doubts from others as well as in myself in the beginning.

Resources and finances was another struggle when starting a business. I lacked the knowledge and skill in the beginning.

Finding a mentor, a knowledgeable internship, personal development and building a skill set slowly were all the factors to my breakthrough.

Fashion Prodigy LLC – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Fashion Prodigy is the household name for my photography, film and model development.

I specialize in fashion photography, retouching, film, and editing. I am also a mother agent who discovers new faces and develops them for the modeling world.

I think what sets my brand apart is the ability to do multiple things at an equal quality level. Clients can make a one-stop shop for photos, videos, and talent if needed.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
My definition of success is being at PEACE. That allows your most authentic self to reign. And it allows success to come in each individual’s preferred form. If a happy soul is what brings you peace, if materialistic gain brings you peace, if living your purpose brings you peace….that’s success.

Me personally, peace comes by living my true authenticity, using my gifts and talents while walking in my purpose.
