Today we’d like to introduce you to Talena Davis.
A former student-athlete at both Westlake High School and Georgia State University Talena is an absolute true native to Atlanta. After eight years of life-altering hard work in the healthcare industry, Talena courageously transferred her desire to care for the health of others and making an impact in one’s life, to another milestone for many – purchasing a home.
Licensed since October 2018, Talena’s charisma, skilled natural talent, and friendliness played vital roles in the selling of 25 family homes, with over four million dollars sold all in her first year in the realty business. For several months she maintained the Top Buyers Agent for Mark Spain. She earned the 2019 Atlanta Realtors Association Top Producer, and Top 5% in individual units, and Top 15% in sales volume. Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Life always has it’s obstacles. I would have to say the last four years have not been easy at all. Starting with the loss of my Dad in Jan 2016. He was such a big part of my support system and I could always depend on him for solid advice and guidance. I lost my mother a year later, Jan 2017 and that blow was even heavier. She was definitely my inspiration and rock. My mother had a true hustle mentality and because of her work ethic is why I am successful.
After losing both parents, I was charged to help raise my then 16-year-old brother along with my seven-year-old at the time and my son that I was pregnant with (found out Feb 2017- a gift from my mother and father on the other side). I started my new career as a realtor in 2018 after being in health care for eight years.; This was probably one of the hardest things to do at the time. Leaving a salary for the unexpected pay of entrepreneurship. With the support of my spouse, friends and family I was able to strive ahead.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I establish my brand in May of 2020 after being under the massive marketing brokerage of Mark Spain Real Estate. I was able to learn the ins and outs relatively quickly and assist 25 families in my first year with closing on a home. I learned quickly that this real estate business is not created equally and I strive to give my clients the ultimate experience regardless of their budget.
I communicate and counsel each person that I come in contact with throughout the process. This is the biggest transaction of most people’s life. With that being said, operating with the highest character is imperative to me.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Being recognized as one of Atlanta Realtors Association Top Producer 2019 – that was my inaugural year as a realtor.
