Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamara and Tiffany Wint.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Tamara and Tiffany. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Our story started with a friend who got newly engaged but didn’t think she could afford a wedding. She told us she only had $300. We enlisted the help of our Aunt Michelle Gibbs who did weddings in New Jersey and New York for advice. She sent us our first 100 chair covers and sashes. We planned this wedding with a menu of potluck catering solicited by choir members, 12.00 dollar flower girl dresses from Burlington and handmade bouquets made from silk flowers. It was a beautiful wedding on a small budget. We truly realized what we wanted and loved to do.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Having a business in general bring about obstacles and challenges. Helping clients establish a budget for them to stick too. Dealing with challenging mother of brides should be the issue but making a profit in the first five years was hard when you put so much into building a brand and business. Getting your name to be well known in an industry with high competition.

Herrington House is a Full Service Event Planning and Concierge company. Specializing in Wedding Planning, hands on service for brides and groom. We offer a more flexibility to our service. No boxing them into a 9 to 5 type of planning. Especially when our client has busy work life and schedules. We work with amazing vendors that we can refer during the planning stages. We also teach clients how to make their budget work for them without breaking the bank.

We have had two vital mentors over the years that have provided much support and mentorship. Quentin Findley is a renaissance man who gave us advise on how to be a BOSS. With some amazing suggestions on growth and how to separate ourselves from the rest. We have applied these vital points in our business and how we handle our current and future clientele.
We have also had the opportunity to work with an amazing industry Event Designer, S&K Event Design & Rentals. Kay Kinsley has been a huge supporter in our growth. She had also serviced our clients with beautiful wedding design and rental that keeps us returning to her with clients. She has provided endless hours of training and knowledge on knowing the industry you service. These two individuals have help us grow as business owners and continue to provide support even with their busy lives.
