Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamela Hall.
Tamela, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I got into the wedding industry the old-fashioned way, my sister got married and handed me a camera and said “hey, take pictures you’re a photographer, right?” I had been a portrait photographer who specialized in kids and family for just a few years when she did this and I caught the wedding bug that day. It wasn’t until 2020 that I really began to specialize in couples, engagements, and weddings. In 2020 & 2021, I was voted Best of Georgia Wedding Photographers which is an amazing honor!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Since really getting into weddings in late 2020, the road so far has been full of ups and downs with lots of learning curves along the way. The best part is now I’ve found my calling and I’m delivering 2-4 timeless wedding galleries each month!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
While everyone else is doing the next trendy edit, my goal is to create timeless and elegant masterpieces that you’ll look back on and treasure for a lifetime. I don’t want people to look at my photos and be like oh that’s a cool orange filter or that’s a neat filter you have. I want the focus to be on the emotion, joy, and love that the couple/person in the photo is feeling. My goal is for you to remember how you felt not how you were posed. My ideal clients have been those who are madly in love, have an adventurous spirit, and love to try new and creative ways of capturing their love story. We can hike to the top of a mountain for some epic engagement photos or travel out to the West Coast and capture your elopement out at Big Sur in California. I love to travel and when my clients love to travel and have fun we get along like lifelong friends! My favorite wedding so far was Michelle & Grant who got married out at Chota Falls in North Georgia. We got to utilize the waterfall and the scenery around the falls that gave it a Tuscany feel.
What’s next?
I’ve just added an amazing videographer to the team, Marcus and we’re hoping to continue to grow and expand throughout the Southeast!
