Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamesha Bailey.
Tamesha, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My drive for my Business came from the things my daughter went through for her first year of life. My Daughter’s name is Ariel, which means Goddess of light. Since she been in this world, she has been a fighter and made me strong. She has had three surgeries and two blood transfusions all before the age of two years old. I started The Ariel Brand in 2016 at first selling mink lashes. My co-worker at the time gave me the idea to start somewhere. Selling lashes really wasn’t my passion. I deal with anxiety and depression. I did some research on Coping with my issue is naturally. Candle making was one of the things that stuck out to me when I am in my research. It started off as a hobby and now it’s The way of life for the co-owner Ariel and me.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I can say it hasn’t been a smooth road with life ups and downs. Especially when you are a single mom, I had days where I would just cry and get so discouraged. I had to do self-check and Collette myself. Be consistent to your dream no matter what really does make a difference.
Please tell us about The Ariel Brand.
The Ariel Brand offers Soy candles and wax melts with a little twisted at times. We specialize in thinking out the box when it comes to candle making. Our candles are scented and can come unscented for just decor. We make herbal. Candles that brings good energy. Simple candles, cupcake candles, milkshake looking candles and even Margarita candles. The mermaid melts are not the normal looking wax melts.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from my childhood is when the whole entire family went on vacation together.
