Today we’d like to introduce you to Tameshia King.
Hi Tameshia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Kings Bundle was originally founded in 2018. Just a thought and willingness to learn about the hair industry. I was working for Verizon at the time and I remember doing my own sew-ins. I realized, Wow, I’ve been using the same hair for almost four years. From ponytails to full headed styles. As time went on (2019) I realized I did not want to continue selling phones. Yes, I was great at it, the top of my district. Even went out of town for events due to being a top salesman. But I desired more. I thought, what if I created my own line of products. If I can sell a phone, hair shouldn’t be hard…Right?
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
2018 is when I did my trial and error. Finding vendors, going to hair shows just to get an idea. Everything was extremely overwhelming. You have to remember, the greatest players took time to create. To me, every booth and every hair brand was perfect. No flaws. How could little old me become this multi-million dollar mogul like everyone else. I don’t know how to do hair besides doing my own. What makes me qualified to becoming successful in the hair industry. Then I realized I don’t know how to build a phone but I sell contracts back to back. If I can be in the top 10 at verizon, what makes me believe I cant be number 1 or at least in the top 5 in the hair industry. I started thinking about my past jobs, hmmm phones need accessories, hair need accessories. It all works the same, just a different industry. All I need now is the best hair, no shedding and great at bleaching. So the journey begins….Never jump at the first vendor, I’ve went through so many vendors it’s crazy. I learned to always buy a sample bundle and test before buying a case full. I messed myself up the first go around lol, its ok….I sold the heck out of it at my old high school. Even had the boys selling for me. As time went on, I learned and realized what needed to be done.
We’ve been impressed with Kings Bundle Co., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Kings Bundle has grown tremendously. From hair bundles, hair care, herbal care, and skincare. After finding a well-qualified vendor with amazing hair units, I started realizing we all need to protect our actual hair and not just the bundles. I started getting into herbal healing. Herbal oils that heals the scalp and promote hair growth. Understanding health conditions that can increase hair loss, then coming up with a product to prevent it. It has been an amazing journey when you have products that actually work. I see others on TikTok and the promos that run through Facebook and I’m realizing, all of this is pretty…but does it work? You can make your product as shiny and glossy as possible, but does the results match the hype? I’m so proud of us at Kings bundle for believing that we can make a change. We are partnered with Walmart and working on our target deal. Soon we will be a household name.
