Today we’d like to introduce you to Tammie Magee.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Tammie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I love everything thing about nurturing my family. That includes making sure they come home to a loving , fun, resourceful, and comfortable environment. As renters, my family stability was jeopardized twice because the homeowner failed to pay their mortgage obligations with the rent we were paying and the home were foreclosed. I refused to encounter that situation a third time so in 2010, we purchased our first home. During my home shopping, I experienced situations that I would not want any homebuyer to feel, so I became a real estate professional.
In the last four years, I’ve had the opportunity to enhance many families quality of life by not only facilitating their home purchase or sale process but also help with understanding that absolutely anything you set your mind on and dedicate your energy towards you can accomplish it. My clients have gone from poor to excellent credit, renters to homeowners, employees to business owners and certainly clients to friends.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Having a young large family, and feet still in Corporate America, support, time, systems and team management is required. Sometimes, I have to tweak processes and it works out very well.
Please tell us more about what you do, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
Tammie The Realtor is known for being the package deal. I help families prepare for, acquire and protect their assets. I’m personable and approachable yet mean serious business. As simple as that sounds, it’s a rarity in a commission driven business. My moral compass is on automatic to be fair and enthusiastic about helping others achieve goals. This is more than a business. It’s my service to the community!
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
So unfair rejection has helped me a great deal, being excluded or told “NO” made me the resourceful go-getter that I am and it also made me aim to intentionally value others contributions. I’ve been told “NO” when people feared how my inclusion would set them backward. It wasn’t necessarily a personal attack towards me, I would have added value, their self-preservation and ego was just more important. Those first people were my birth parents and because of that, any “No” I hear is lightweight and somewhat empowering.
