Tanisha, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Come to the digital world of A Step at a Time Early Learning. A Step at a Time Early Learning Academy provides quality childcare services to children two to five years. We were founded in 2018 by owner/CEO Tanisha Waller. A Step at a Time started as an in-home licensed childcare program in South West Atlanta, Ga which grew within a year to a commercial learning Academy. We provide an exceptional learning experience from the beginning and end. We strive to prepare children for a life of learning through enrichment opportunities focusing on each child as a whole. Our belief is that children not only learn through play but a more structural environment by using a creative curriculum that stimulates the advancement of our children.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Obstacles are meant to happen in order for success to take place. While starting my business I ran into many obstacles with going back and forth with the city. However, I knew the end goal was completion. I did just that!

A Step at a Time Early Learning Academy is a private childcare program geared towards children 2-5 years of age. Assisting with the whole development of each child. While building the foundation of the early years of life. A Step at a Time Early Learning is known for nurturing while teaching. The most amazing part about us is that we set the foundation while the children excel. Although there are many daycare programs in Atlanta, A Step at a Time Early Learning is proven to be different by the results of our children.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would have started sooner.
