Hi Tanisia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always had a passion for skincare and helping people feel confident in their own skin. My journey as an esthetician began six years ago when I decided to turn that passion into a career. After gaining hands-on experience and mastering various techniques, I saw a need for high-quality, results-driven skincare services in my community. That’s when I founded Tunisian Esthetics, with the goal of providing advanced treatments like laser hair removal, electrolysis, and customized facials for both men and women. My focus has always been on delivering effective solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs, and that dedication has helped my business grow into what it is today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like any business, the journey has had its challenges. One of the biggest hurdles was building a client base from the ground up and earning trust in a competitive industry. In the beginning, I had to invest a lot of time and resources into marketing, networking, and continuously educating myself on the latest skincare technologies to stand out. Financially, balancing business expenses while trying to grow was another challenge, especially when investing in high-quality equipment and products. Additionally, navigating the ups and downs of entrepreneurship—such as managing slow seasons and adapting to industry changes—required persistence and resilience. However, every challenge has been a learning experience, and overcoming them has made me & my business stronger.

At Tunisian Esthetics, I specialize in advanced skincare treatments, with a focus on laser hair removal, electrolysis, and customized facials. My goal is to provide safe, effective, and long-lasting solutions for my clients’ skin concerns, whether it’s unwanted hair, acne, hyperpigmentation, or anti-aging. What sets me apart is my commitment to personalized care—every client receives a tailored treatment plan designed for their unique needs. I take pride in staying at the forefront of skincare technology, continuously educating myself to bring the best innovations to my practice. One of my proudest achievements is seeing the transformation in my clients, not just in their skin but in their confidence. Helping people feel comfortable and beautiful in their own skin is what drives me every day.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I believe success is a combination of hard work, perseverance, and being in the right place at the right time. While luck has played a role in certain moments of my journey, I’ve always made sure to be prepared to seize opportunities when they arise. For example, I’ve been fortunate to connect with amazing clients who have supported my business and helped spread the word about my services. At the same time, I’ve faced challenges that some might call bad luck—like unexpected expenses or slower seasons—but I view those moments as learning experiences rather than setbacks. Ultimately, I believe that luck favors those who are prepared and willing to put in the effort, and that mindset has helped me grow both personally and professionally.
