Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanya Johnson.
Tanya let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Working in retail truly created the foundation of my work ethic and was the kick start to my journey. While going through the process, I never understood my “why”. Many times, over the years I did not take full advantage of the lessons and guidance my managers were trying to pour into me. I finally got the picture in 2014 when I was an Assistant Store Manager at the time. Since then I saw tremendous growth within myself and my career. I am currently a full-time Events Coordinator in corporate America. I recently had the opportunity to launch my business back in March. I have over five years of experience working with Talent and Senior Leadership in the entertainment and corporate world. I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with networks and corporations such as BET Networks, Bounce TV, LG Electronics and more. My passion is creating memorable experiences for all my clients and ensuring they leave inspired.
Has it been a smooth road?
My journey had bumps along the way. After graduating from high school, I jumped straight into retail management. I had no idea how important work ethic was at the age of nineteen. The struggles I encountered were with management. I never understood nor could accept criticism. I will never forget the day my District Manager called me and made me realize the true importance of accountability. It was the day my perspective changed forever. When you don’t show up you are letting yourself and team down. How can you grow if you don’t give it 100% everyday? I strongly advise anyone that may be in a space where they question their “why”. Stewart over the season you’re currently in. To become something greater takes time, and you must follow before you lead. I always ensure that I show up and give everything I do my all.

My attention to detail, creative imagination, and sense of organization allows me to flawlessly execute any event or project I oversee. I didn’t attend college, so my knowledge and experiences came from every job I’ve had over the years. My passion is creating memorable experiences for clients and ensuring they leave inspired. The services I provide are the following; Production Management, Content strategizing, and Virtual Assistance. Outside of my services, I also provide motivational speaking on virtual and in-person engagements. I specialize in coordinating productions and sets. I am known for my six years in Production. I am most proud of the relationships and knowledge I’ve gained along the way. What sets me apart from others is the experience and clients I’ve collaborated with over the years.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the numerous amounts of creatives that are here. I don’t like how hard they make it for people who may not be from here to work with. Sometimes if you don’t know anyone in the industry, you won’t be able to get many opportunities. I highly suggest you network. Atlanta has so many networking events to attend. I know due to the pandemic it makes it difficult now.
