Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanzania Daniel.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started off in real estate after having my second son. I knew I wanted to contribute to my family financially and the salary I made doing medical transcription just wasn’t enough. Additionally, it had become unfulfilling for me. At the time, I found real estate to be an interesting avenue to venture into. Boy, was I in for a surprise as to the amount of dedication and work it would take to be successful in real estate. I have learned a lot in my 13 years of real estate. I’ve learned that this business is not about showing and selling homes. It’s about helping make people’s dreams come true from a real estate standpoint. It has been one of the most rewarding jobs I’ve ever done. There’s nothing more satisfying than building a life-long relationship with someone that you just helped accomplish a goal. That feeling is indescribable.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. Learning to balance family and working two jobs (I’m a part-time Zumba Instructor as well) has been very challenging. Sometimes, I feel very overwhelmed, but I just push through and make it happen.
What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of? What sets you apart from others?
As a REALTOR, I serve all of Metro Atlanta, but I focus on South Atlanta. I work with both buyers and sellers. I’m proud to say my clients appreciate my professionalism, as well as my patience. I’ve had some clients that have taken over a year to purchase a home. Whereas most agents would’ve dropped them as clients, I realize that purchasing a home is a very major purchase and if someone is afraid or needs a little time, I’m there to hold their hand and guide them through the process without rushing or judging. I think that sets me apart from other REALTORS. I’m not rushing them because I want a paycheck. A happy client is the end result that I’m looking for.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is taking vacations with my family. We always took a vacation. We went to the World Fair, Disneyworld, Panama City. I can’t choose just one vacation. The fact that we went on vacation on a regular basis was a blessing.
