Meet Tara McDuffie of Watkinsville , Georgia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tara McDuffie.

Hi Tara, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey really started with service at the heart of everything I do. I began as a HUD counselor, helping families navigate the path to homeownership. That experience showed me firsthand how much people needed not only technical guidance but also support, education, and someone willing to walk alongside them in the process.

Eventually, I felt called to build something bigger, something that could impact people on multiple levels. That’s when I launched Push Purpose Consulting Inc., doing business as Signed With Purpose. What started with general notary and loan signing services has now expanded into a full suite of solutions—tax preparation, business funding, and credit repair. Each of these services ties back to my core mission: helping individuals and families create stability, protect their assets, and unlock opportunities for generational wealth.

It hasn’t always been an easy road. As a mom and entrepreneur, I’ve had to push through challenges, setbacks, and plenty of learning curves. But every obstacle reminded me why I started—to give people tools, confidence, and resources to truly change their lives. Now, I not only serve clients directly but also mentor and train others to step into these industries themselves.

For me, it’s never just about the transaction. My motto has always been “signing with purpose,” because every signature, every client, every partnership is tied to purpose and impact. I’m building a legacy, and I want the people I work with to feel empowered to build theirs too.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Life has thrown me some serious challenges, and each one could have easily knocked me off course. My mom needed a kidney, which was an emotional and faith-testing season for our family. I also went through divorce and separation, which meant rebuilding not just my household, but also my sense of self while raising my children.

And then, earlier this year, my family experienced a devastating house fire. We lost everything. Standing in the middle of what felt like complete loss, I had to make a choice: either let it break me or let it push me to rebuild stronger. I chose the second.

Those experiences weren’t easy, but they gave me a deeper sense of purpose. They taught me resilience, reminded me of what truly matters, and pushed me to build my business and my legacy with even more determination. Every obstacle became a reminder that I’m not just building for myself—I’m building for my family, my clients, and the people who are inspired by my journey.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in providing services that help people gain control over their finances and open new doors of opportunity. Through Signed With Purpose, I focus on tax preparation, business funding, notary services, and credit repair. My goal is to make these areas less intimidating and more empowering, so my clients don’t just get a service—they walk away with knowledge, options, and confidence.

What I’m most proud of is the impact. I’ve helped families rebuild their credit, secure the funding they needed to grow their businesses, and even inspired others to launch their own ventures in the tax or notary industry. Seeing someone’s face light up when they realize they have options—that’s the part that drives me.

What sets me apart is my approach to service. I don’t look at clients as transactions; I look at them as people with stories, goals, and legacies to protect. My motto has always been “signing with purpose” because every document, every funding application, every tax return represents something bigger in someone’s life. I bring my personal experiences, my resilience, and my heart into the work I do—and I think that’s why people trust me. I’m not just here to process paperwork; I’m here to help people build a future with purpose behind it.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was always a people-person. I loved being surrounded by family and friends, and I could lose myself for hours in a good book. But my biggest escape was music. I’m a singer, and singing has always been my way of expressing myself, releasing stress, and finding peace no matter what was happening around me.

I also had this funny love for cash registers—I used to play pretend like I was running my own store, ringing people up, and counting money. Looking back, it’s almost like I was rehearsing for the entrepreneurial path I’m on now.

So, if I had to describe myself as a kid, I’d say I was curious, creative, and people-focused. Whether through music, reading, or play, I was always finding ways to connect, create, and dream a little bigger. Those same qualities are still a big part of who I am today and how I serve others.
