Meet Tara Moses of Fun Size Models

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tara Moses.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I decided to start my own model brand the day I was told by a professional model in a workshop that I would never be able to do runway due to my height. I didn’t get upset I just knew then that was the moment I wanted to break the cycle with height being a requirement to do fashion modeling and I’ve been to many modeling auditions and I couldn’t believe my eyes at the number of models that audition working that walk better than many of the models that were much taller however those individuals regardless of how good their walk was did not get selected simply because they wasn’t the required height and to add it was insulting hearing many of the taller models speak badly about the shorter models such as things like short people don’t belong on the runway and one model made this commenting saying theirs no Dillards Jr being sarcastic and I just couldn’t believe many of the negative comments about shorter models and it’s fine some designers have their preference on the style models they seek in there designs however if many designers think outside the box they could make a lot more money. It is designers out there that make designs for all sizes from petite up to full figured. My target is models 5″7 & below in height however I do require healthy models in good physical shape. My goal is open doors for more opportunity for shorter models not to tear down high fashion models, I love high fashion models however tall people are not the only
people that love fashion, all height people loves fashion.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No it has not been a smooth road branding Fun Size Models however I won’t stop until it’s done. Many are inspired and support my vision and I aim to continue until Fun Size Models Brand is a success.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Fun Size Models, Inc. – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My company is supporting shorter models 5″7 & below. I’m the face of Fun Size Models and I’m not only the brand ambassador but also CEO of Fun Size Models Magazine. In addition, I’m an inspiring actress. I’m proud most about my company is all the beautiful models I get to meet and listen to there stories on how they was told they would never make it in modeling because they were too short. What sets me apart from the rest is instead of taking the No’s with a negative…I take it as God has something better awaiting ahead for me. I be like God what in the world you have waiting ahead for me and I look forward to it.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future is being successful in both modeling and acting and most of all working hard long hours pushing for my magazine to be one of the top magazines in the world like Ebony, Vogue, Jet, etc. and making a difference for shorter models.
