Meet Tarik McMorris of Food Plug Wavy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tarik McMorris.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Tarik. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It all started through the struggle of finding a good reliable job that I enjoyed I worked multiple temporary jobs on-off I had no idea that I would be entering the food industry, but I always enjoyed cooking for family and friends, I remember vividly that I was working an airport job that I hated with a passion, but I use to always make my own breakfast or lunch and brought it to work due to the high priced food at the airport. Other coworkers started to notice, every time I would open my container people would ask where did I get that from it looks great people began to pay me to make food for them word began to travel through out the workplace to the point where people wanted a weekly menu my clientele began to grow it was an amazing feeling when I realized I no longer had to work a job I don’t enjoy I began making more money through catering bookings. Good food sells itself.

Has it been a smooth road?
Having a business can have it’s ups and downs at the beginning, but that’s part of life starting something new won’t be easy, but if you stick to it consistently, the universe will align you and bless you for your hardwork. If you continue to stay consistent and promote your business and, most importantly, believe in yourself, others will have no choice but to believe as well.

We’d love to hear more about Food Plug Wavy.
I am a food provider, I cater many different types of events, I do meal prep, I provide private bookings, I also offer cooking classes, also I sell plates to different communities around Atlanta. Some of the top desserts on the menu are my famous bussin banana pudding, bloody berries shortcake, plug cheesesteak egg rolls and my macaroni and cheese, to name a few. What I am most proud of is the support I receive I wouldn’t be able to grow my business without the support of my clients, what sets me apart from other’s? Every meal comes with dessert and drinks at a flat rate.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like best about your city is the support, Atlanta has some of the best supporters. What I dislike is the bad driver’s lol some people must have just paid for their licenses in other states and moved to Atlanta.
