Today we’d like to introduce you to Tariq and Allen Stevens. They and their team shared their story with us below:
FLARESCOUTS is an American hip-hop duo originating from Long Island, New York. The group/collective was founded and named by Ace and TY, in 2012. Inspired by real music everywhere and from all genres, but most relatable to the golden era of hip-hop using knowledge to spread love and compassion through the music and overall teach an underlining lesson to the people. This group is on a mission to bring change and to let people know they can influence change with their own light. Everyone is a FlareScout.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Many struggles, we have moved from NY 3-4 years ago. There was a fire before that and our house burned down, coronavirus, loss of up’s down.

We curate and shoot most of the videos. DIY style, from editing to locations, and equipment. And also write all of the lyrics and all concepts for every song and project.
How do you define success?
Financial freedom. Being able to curate your life the way you see fit on a daily basis, being your own boss.
