

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasha Devoe
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story began like most women. Life happened. The highs and lows from childbirth to death of loved ones. It was in these times that somewhere, somehow the weight crept on and I began to dress to highlight what I felt were my best attributes versus addressing the problem. That changed when I tried once again to be a part of another fitness class. Yep I had tried bootcamps, Zumba, and challenges but nothing stayed. When I joined the fitness class in 2017 I was surrounded by women that were in the same struggles as me. So as we fought together I realized that through all my eating and workouts that I had made a LIFESTYLE CHANGE. Y’all that’s the secret to weight loss shhh!!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This road has been the farthest from smooth. After my journey as a client I completed my certification and became a personal trainer in 2019. My business Fit With Tasha was formed and now I had to figure out how, when, and where to conduct business. I started out in the very same place I had began but as I was learning, growing, and finding my way I realized I had to do it without my safety net. Yep scary. Just like the rest of the world COVID impacted my business greatly in 2020, I had a baby in 2021, and here we are now in 2024 with life still doing its thing but quitting and failing are NOT options.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Fit With Tasha was formed with the every day busy woman in mind. That woman balancing a career, motherhood, and family. The very woman who has put herself at the end of her to do list but knows and desires for a change as it relates to her health and body. Fit With Tasha is available for any woman as we offer not just in person training but virtual. Our sessions are 30 mins and training Monday – Friday is available should the client desire. We incorporate cardio, strength, core, and more in our training sessions. What makes this program different you’re getting a REAL person that has walked the very same shoes. That’s why we are getting “Fit Together” in our classes. We offer more than workouts. We have eBooks, we can speak to organizations educating on the importance of health and wellness, we service businesses, churches, offer in person meal prep, prepared meal prep and smoothies, and accountability coaching.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is roadtrips with my grandpa. I was his deputy boss and I loved traveling with him and seeing new things and visiting family. We would always stop to McDonald’s which was a major treat for me growing up because we did not eat out and I cherish these memories. Our roadtrip snacks were either pork skins, boiled peanuts, or chips with water. To this day I still loved boiled peanuts and a water when I hit the road lol.
