Meet Tasha Hill

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasha Hill.

Hi Tasha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Born and raised in Atlanta, GA. Grew up in Summerhill, Zone 3 where the hustle started. Back in 2018, my daughter was born and she loves Elmo so my first mascot purchased was of course Elmo. I dress up as Elmo and thought she would be scared and crying at the age of seven months but no she was hugging the head. My daughter inspired me to start doing live characters for kids because of her smile and interaction. In 2019-2021 I expanded the mascots with different characters that I think kids would love at their birthday parties. I also added large indoor games Tic Tac Toe, Connect 4 and Jenga. In 2019, I was working at a YMCA and I thought about how can I start the student’s day when they arrive to school. I started asking the students what’s their favorite tv show, so I dress up as Chase, Marshall Paw Patrol, a Unicorn and Doc McStuffins and danced in the lobby and giving hugs as they enter the building. The smiles on their faces and the conversation they held with their friends about who they seen while coming to school was a life-changer for me. Two for one deal doing things I love to do teach and entertain. In 2020-2021 more booking started I only could do weekends but it work out good. We started booking grand openings for daycares and giving back to the community during Halloween Trunk or Treat. My team consists of my mom and nephews when I first started but the following year were high school student. I am grateful to place a smile on kids’ faces as I enter the room.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a headache during the pandemic when the parties were canceled. Also, I tried renting out the mascots and it come back dirty and I had to chase people for the cleaning fee. God sees fit in things that you are not in control of, prayers work and we are still going strong each and every day.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We bring the entertainment to your birthday party/events. We are an on time business, and grace you with extra time for free. I open up my business for high school students so they can become a business owners. Show them that they can start with one thing and gain more if you focus.

You have to take pride in your own company, so I started getting shirts to pull over, and mask made. I took it to a new level with getting my logo on my back window. I’m proud that I started on my own with 4 mascots and now I have 30 plus.
