Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasha Pippin.
Tasha, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started working with horses when I was 10 yrs. old at Kay’s Ponies which was also located here in Lawrenceville GA where I meet my future husband Ronnie Goodwin. We worked for many stables, show barns, trainers, and schools over the years which lead us to wanting to run our own stable. Ronnie and his mother found Trinity’s current location. We knew as soon as we walked around the property this was the perfect place to start our business. Trinity started with my husband Ronnie, my best friend Jessica Baran, and myself. After a year Jessica moved closer to her home in the north Georgia Mountains leaving the business to Ronnie and myself. We are now a family run business including extended family and children. When you come to Trinity it should feel like you just came home.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I was told as a child that anything worth having or doing will not be easy to achieve and Trinity Stables has been no exception. Our first year was filled with ups and downs and getting on our feet. Being that we were new to the area it took about 8 months before people realized we were here and open to the public, Once they did the business has just keep rolling in. Losing Jessica had a big impact on Trinity we had to purchase new lesson horses, place students with a new instructor, and stay on our feet all at the same time. We were successful and are now heading into our second summer in Gwinnett County. We are gearing up for our special spring break and summer lesson programs and I hope the only obstacles we encounter are the ones the horses are jumping over or working their way through.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Trinity Stables – what should we know?
Trinity Stables is a Full boarding, lesson, and horse leasing facility. Our motto is “Creating more Horse People”. We came into the name Trinity because we do all 3 disciplines in the horse world English, Western, and Driving. We specialize in horses plain and simple. We want every person with the will to be around a horse to be given that opportunity even if you live in the middle of the city. We are very proud of the safe and family fun environment we have created at Trinity Stables. When people visit our barn I hear them say “I feel so at home, comfortable, and safe here” and “Tasha really has a passion for the horses that shows in her work” these are the moments when I breath a deep sigh of relief in knowing I am doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing in my life “creating more horse people”. Trinity’s latest achievement which we are very proud of is winning the Editors pick for the Best of Gwinnett magazine. One thing that really sets us apart from other stables is our openness to all disciplines. I feel that until a person has tried many disciplines in the horse world how can one know what they will be truly happy with? Most importantly as a horse owner it’s important to encourage other horse owners to try new things to find out what will make their horse(s) happy. I would say without a doubt that the main thing that sets us apart from other stables or equestrian centers is that we live for the horses not the other way around.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Love, Love, Love is all you need (laugh out loud). At Trinity love and passion are very important. Horses are not just a job, an income, or a business, to us it is a love and a passion for a mighty majestic creature we should consider ourselves luck to be allowed to climb upon its back and be honored with the allowance to ride them. We highly impress in all participants with horses at our stable that horses are not our pack animals or our all-terrain vehicles to ride as we please with no concern for their feeling, health, or wellbeing. This is a characteristic that sets us apart from other stables that will work their horses whenever the need arises to compete in a competition or for the chance to earn a dollar no matter the weather or conditions. There are not enough ribbons, championships, or points in the world that would make me put any horse in what I see to be a possible dangerous position. This is an aspect that visitors and clients of our barn feel right away and I contribute it to part of our success.

My family and I visited Trinity Stables for Mother’s Day. This was my children’s first time being around full size horses, and Tasha, Ronnie, and the staff made sure they were safe and feeling confident. They were a little nervous before the lesson but once she put them in the arena and just let them get the feel of the animal and talked them through, they were ready to jump fences and full out race. I hope they know how much we appreciate the memories and the beginnings of a passion in my children. I hope everyone takes the time out to go enjoy something as simple as an outside horse back ride just once, watch for special days and discounts that’s what I did because of the amount of people riding. THANK YOU TRINITY STABLES horses, staff and owners.
