Today we’d like to introduce you to Tay Rose.
Tay, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It all started with me trying to get an easy “A” in high school, honestly. I just signed up to take this video class everyone was talking about that was easy and I found myself falling in love. My mom bought me a Nikon D5600 for Christmas and I’ve been learning and creating ever since.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. I think the only thing I struggle with is the same things other creatives struggle with. First, the confidence to show your art. It’s an on and off thing, though. With certain projects, I’ll be a little more nervous than I am regularly am but I think everybody goes through that. I think it’s part of the process but it always feels amazing when all that nervousness is lifted when my clients love the final project.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am a creative director, videographer and photographer. My favorite to do are videos, though, because they take a little bit more creativeness to complete and I love the art of story telling. Whether it’s a music video, short film, or documentary, from the beginning, starting with just an idea to the finished product. I’m in love with the whole process.

I have to give my mom credit for believing in me and buying me my first camera. Then I would have to say my mentor (@ulikemyphotos). Anytime I have questions about anything, he is pretty much a call or text away. I can’t forget my Creative Minds family. We keep each other on our toes and make sure we all keep pushing to become the people we know we’re meant to be.
