Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylar Symone.
Hi Taylar, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Growing up, getting my nails done was more than just self-care—it was my way of expressing myself. I would switch them up every week if I could. It was my thing. But life hit differently when my son was diagnosed with autism. I made the decision to walk away from my 9-5 so I could be fully present for him—emotionally, mentally, and physically. That choice came with a lot of sacrifices, and one of them was my usual nail appointments.
But truthfully, giving up my nails felt like giving up a piece of me. It was the one thing that made me still feel like me in the middle of all the changes. That’s when my friend Myesha suggested I try press-ons. At first, I was like, ‘Girl, I am not a press-on type of girl.’ I had every excuse. But I gave it a shot—and it changed everything.
Now, I create custom, salon-quality press-on nails that not only look bomb but also give other women that same confidence and spark I was trying to hold onto. What started as a way to keep one small joy alive for myself turned into something bigger—a way to remind other women, especially moms, that we can still feel beautiful, powerful, and like ourselves again, even while we’re showing up for everyone else.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. When I first started, I had so many doubts. I was scared to start another business out of fear it would flop or that nobody would really be interested in what I had to offer. Imposter syndrome was loud, and the fear of failing felt even louder.
But despite the fear, I couldn’t ignore what God placed right in front of me. I stayed faithful to the vision, even when I didn’t have it all figured out. I reminded myself that obedience doesn’t always come with clarity—it comes with trust. And every time I showed up, even when it was scary, He met me there. That’s what kept me going.
As you know, we’re big fans of TAYLAR’S Nail Studio (TNS) . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
TNS is more than just nails—it’s a faith-based beauty brand rooted in creativity, confidence, and care. I specialize in creating high-quality, custom press-on nails for women who want the salon look without the time commitment. My press-ons are handcrafted to look like they’re fresh from the salon chair—reusable, durable, and designed to fit your lifestyle.
What sets TNS apart is the heart behind every set. Each one is handcrafted with prayer and purpose to reflect the woman wearing it—whether she’s a mom on the move, a busy professional, or someone just in need of a little self-care. My goal is for every client to feel seen, beautiful, and confident the moment they press them on.
I’m most proud that my work doesn’t just make women feel pretty—it helps them feel like themselves again. That’s what matters most to me.
To the readers: I want you to know that I offer fully custom press-on sets tailored to your personal style, nail size, and vibe. These aren’t your typical store-bought nails—TNS sets are durable, reusable, and designed to look like you just walked out of the salon. Whether it’s a bold design or something simple and clean, I’ve got you covered.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory isn’t tied to one specific moment—it’s the way my mom, Kim T., poured into me spiritually growing up. At the time, I didn’t fully understand the weight of the prayers she prayed over me or the scriptures she would share, but now that I’m older and walking through life with my own relationship with God, everything she planted back then is starting to bloom every single day.
This memory means the most to me because it laid the foundation for who I am today—a woman of faith, grounded in purpose, and committed to serving others with love and intention. It’s because of those early seeds she sowed that I’m able to face life’s challenges with strength, grace, and a heart that leans on God.
