Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Leftwich-Amor.
Taylor, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was just 17 when I got pregnant with my daughter. I went from being an A student to a dropout. I bossed up, reenrolled in college, and graduated cum laude.
I began law school as my daughter began kindergarten. For three years straight, I went to class, worked (two jobs), helped my daughter with her schoolwork, and studied through the night to earn my J.D. I killed the bar exam after a dedicated summer of preparation. Now I’m a licensed attorney.
I founded my own firm, Leftwich Law, LLC, a month after being sworn in. The journey has been unbelievable. I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. I can say now I am a successful attorney, businesswoman, mother, and wife. God is good.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I founded my law firm right after passing the bar exam. It was challenging getting started on my own right out of the gate. I had guidance from mentors, a dedicated work ethic for my cases, and compassion for my clients. I was really taken aback by the impact that had on the growth of my firm, which continues to thrive still to this day.
Finding a balance between work and raising a family was difficult. It took time for me to find a groove that worked for us, but once I did it was smooth sailing.
As you know, we’re big fans of Leftwich Law, LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a lawyer, and my firm is “Leftwich Law, LLC.” Since I’ve married I am in the process of changing my branding and firm name from “Leftwich” to “Amor Law.” I specialize in business law, personal injury, and litigation. I have successfully secured and defended millions for my clients over the five (5) years that I have been practicing. I am personal. I get to know my clients and pour into the details of their cases. I leave no stone unturned and work hard to get results. I am proud to help my business owner clients navigate legalities in emerging markets. I secure results for injury clients that are often overlooked or treated as ‘run of the mill.’ I have represented high-profile people, multi-million dollar cases, and ordinary people you see every day. I’m proud of each one. Every case we take on is of the utmost importance to us; every case is personal.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Clients will come. Focus on doing a good job on each case you have. Don’t be scared to start your own firm if being an associate at a firm is not for you. I am very happy having the autonomy to take on my cases, practice as a lawyer, and grow my own firm as a business.
